Can you tell us about your experience of being in a gaming room?

apart from being oggled, it was okay .... but very smelly

i felt like an exotic species

lots of guys, no other girls, a good opportunity to share mp3s and movies when the novelty of being a girl wears off

Lots of profanity (which I didn't mind), and a lot of staring (mostly at me, wondering what the hell I'm doing there.)

What is your all time favourite game and why?

Arg that's so hard! Probably Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross
Because: Well, despite saying that I find characters most important in a game, the story and gameplay in the Chrono games are brilliant. It involves time travel and alternate dimensions, where your actions effect the other world.

The Longest Journey
Because: Complex and intelligent, interesting game play, good storyline and characters.

Final Fantasy 4
Because: The graphics are horrible, but the story is so involving and the characters are so interesting. It was revolutionary for it's time, playing it is like watching a good old classic movie.

EverQuest, for social games.   Deus Ex 2, for an interesting narrative. same with Thief 2, Planescape Torment, for shooting games:   Postal 2.   a very diverse open world.
Because:. the games i mention all have some attention to narratives that include the action or character sequences.   that is, the game events are not obviously leading you anywhere just because they have to link the different areas.   they make sense in the context of the story/world.

any of the Silent Hill series
Because: It has amazing atmosphere!   I can really get drawn into the game.   It also has everything I like; fighting creatures, solving a mystery, running into a puzzle or two every now and then, and it can scare me silly!

3-d Tetris
Because: I am not sure why. It was so addictive. I lost years to that game. It was only when the computer (an old 486) died that I stopped.

Monkey Island
Because: It is my favourite type of genre. I love collecting things and then using them. I like being the character and going to places and all that. And then i chose Monkey Island because it is absolutely hilarious. I love it. It's funny.

Final Fantasy 7
Because:. I like Final Fantasy 7 because it is challenging and makes you think, yet it's always possible to finish the game. I think it has a very good story line, with a number of narratives running through it. As well, the ability to choose your own path throughout the game allows for an element of autonomy and decision-making. It also has a very good soundtrack!! And the graphics aren't too bad.

Neverwinter Nights
Because: Just the backstory and the fact that so many people are able to create additional modules/stories for it so it extends the game beyond what you buy in the box.

What types of electronic games would you like to see more of?

It'd be good to see another Great like a new Final Fantasy or something come along - a series epic enough to grab hundreds of people and captivate them for years. I like quirky original games as well though, like Viewtiful Joe.

more of the open world kind of games. where you can do things in the world at any time, like the world is not static... or you can get back on track and follow the narrative again when you want to.

I love sim city. An even more complex version of that that included more subtle environemental and happiness factors would be fab. A lurve match-making game could be fun, like running your own dating agency.   I love organising type games like tetris, bejewlled, bubble bobble. Eye-toys are GREAT fun because you can do them with lots of people. I love the dancing games on them.

definatley more in the style of Zelda, they are both challenging and both genders can relate to them.

Games like Kings Quest and Monkey Island, where you have to find objects and then know how to apply them in situations and actually use your brain.

Role playing games with great stories. I'd love to see a more magic and mystical based game on the artherian ledgends, or some sort of celtic like game.

I would like to see good games with FUN gameplay where you can change or pick your character's outfit, (Like the SIms?) apperance (BloodRayne II allows you to deflate/inflate Rayne's breasts, I heard) and I like how in (Champions: Return to Arms) you can turn the blood feature on/off. I don't like girl only games, but I would like games to have more options to make the game more enjoyable for each individual. (Male and Female)

RPG's, pvp fighters, and first person shooters with female main characters.
